In the music industry, its always a heartbreaking moment when fans, friends, and colleagues lose a beloved artist. This weekend, marked the 11th anniversary of the death of music icon Aaliyah who tragically died in a plane crash outside of the Bahamas. Today, music sort-of just isn’t the same.
There are artists like Nicki Minaj who of course are entertaining, but not as genuine as artists were back in the 90′s. Aaliyah was truly one of the artists who didn’t feel the need to sell herself to make it in the music industry, and that’s why she made it so far as she did before her untimely death.
