T.I. Heads To Honolulu To Shoot Episode Of Hawaii Five-O [PHOTOS]:
T.I. has been soaking up the sun in Honolulu, but the trip is for business and not pleasure. Vibe.com exclusively learned that the King of the South is in the tropical paradise shooting an episode of the CBS cop drama Hawaii Five-O.
According to a source, Tip's landed a role as a criminal. The 31-year-old plays a member of a crime syndicate being investigated by Detective Danny “Danno” Williams—played by Scott Caan— and his partner. The episode also features Academy Award nominee, Terrence Howard and Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, Kendall Jenner.
Earlier in the year, Tip talked about retiring from music, and found support in his artist, Iggy Azalea. “I can understand [T.I.] wanting to do that,” she told us. “Just like sometimes actors turn into producers or directors. You want to explore other elements of your craft that is new to you. I know one of the things that I love about life is being a student of my craft and I think he's really mastered rapping and being an artist, so I think it's good that he wants to explore other things that he's newer at, and be able to have a learning curve, and learn different stuff. Maybe it'll make him re-inspired to want to keep making music.”
Aside from his acting gigs, the father of six is gearing up for the second season of his VH1 reality show, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle premiering next month. He also appeared in an episode of the Starz series Boss, while his Hawaii Five-O episode will air in October.

Thursday, rapper Lil Kim stopped by Power 105′s “The Breakfast Club”, to chop it up w it’s entertaining hosts. As most of you know, one of the show’s hosts, Charlamagne the God, is not a fan of Lil Kim and during their interview, he asked a number of tough questions that some readers may (or may not) be interested in hearing. Peep a few excerpts and peep Lil Kim curse out Charlamagne towards the end of the interview.
On what’t took Lil Kim so long to return:

I got outta my contract, then I got into another contract (it didn’t go so well). I couldn’t put out anything that could be purchase or anything that was new.

On what she has to offer in 2012:

I’ve never lived my life, as I was in the past. No one would have ever guessed that I did Dancing With the Stars.

On why all female rappers go to prison:

My situation was extremely real. I did fed time, the other girls are doing state time.

On what broke Junior Mafia up:

Why would I become cool w/ somebody who has no loyalty, no love, no consistency? It’s like I forgive you, but I can’t.

On her relationship with Scott Storch:

I love, Scott. I would have married him. Scott’s not really broke, he’s just not where he was before. He was so clouded (when I reached out to him)..we’ve moved in such different directions. Scott, wanted to married me…he gave me a HUGE pink diamond ring. And I never do this, but I gave it back….I was on my way to prison and I was just going through so much.

I don’t even know her. I wouldn’t even know the way her voice sounded.

On her vintage fight with Faith Evans, when she (Faith) caught Kim and Big being intimate:

Yeah, that’s true.

That’s not true, that’s not how it went down, trust believe me. I know he loved me to death. Faith was the one calling the police.

On Big’s relationship with his mother:

Big’s mom, doesn’t know Biggie and she barely knows Christopher. She use to kick him out, daily. Don’t get me wrong, he loved his mother…but she didn’t know him.

On why she’s done so much plastic surgery:

Why would you ask me that? There’s so many people have surgery. But thank you for the compliment.

On how the beef with Nicki Minaj started:

Can I ask you this? How come they want to ask me questions, but they never ask her. She has a way of trying to avoid the questions. We [her and Nicki Minaj] not having a conversation, but it’s fact.

On beef with Azealia Banks:

I never met this girl a day in my life. I think it’s in girls contract that they hafta go on me when they first come out.

On if she’ll sit down with Nicki Minaj:

It’s not gonna be hashed out. It’s not gonna happen. Fuck all that. That has nothing to do with it, when it comes to respect. You will see.

Lil Wayne found humor in the infamous bottle-throwing clash between Chris Brown and Drake.

We all know that violence is no laughing matter, but Lil Wayne seems to have found humor in the dramatic brawl between Chris Brown and Drake that occurred in June.
“Honestly, I laughed at them,” Lil Wayne told MTV News. “I can’t front, I just laughed at them… like, it’s funny to me.”
Though not everyone shares Weezy’s sense of humor. Several lawsuits resulted from the heated altercation. In the past week, both Drake and Chris have been sued over the brawl. The NYC club owners (who are also being sued) and a male model who suffered an injury are taking legal action to hold the rival pop stars responsible.

Rapper Beanie Sigel Arrested On Weapons And Drug Charges:
ESSINGTON, Pa. — Rapper Beanie Sigel (pictured) was arrested Wednesday on weapon and drug violations during a traffic stop, just two weeks before he is scheduled to report to prison for failing to file taxes, state police said.

The 38-year-old rapper, whose real name is Dwight Grant, was a passenger in a car pulled over on Interstate 95 in Tinicum Township, just south of his hometown of Philadelphia.
Police said they found a gun in the car’s console. Both Sigel and driver Gerald Andrews are felons banned from having such weapons, according to troopers.
Andrews was also carrying several prescription bottles and a small amount of marijuana, police said. Sigel had more than $4,600 in cash, plus prescription pills and a bottle of codeine syrup, according to troopers.
Court records indicate Sigel and Andrews both face drug and gun charges and were unable to post bail. Sigel’s lawyer declined to comment immediately, saying he had not yet reviewed the case. It was not clear if Andrews had an attorney.

Sigel’s latest album, called “This Time,” was released on Tuesday by Ruffhouse Records.
Chris Schwartz, the label’s chief executive, said in a statement that the company is disappointed in Sigel’s arrest. But he added that the rapper has displayed “the utmost professionalism in all of the initiatives related to the promotion of his new release.”
“Beanie has obviously been struggling with some personal issues, and we continue to support him now and throughout his impending incarceration,” Schwartz said.
Sigel is scheduled to begin a two-year prison sentence on Sept. 12 for failing to pay federal taxes. Prosecutors said he owes more than $700,000 for the tax years 1999 through 2005.

Love And Hip Hop & Domestic Violence: Is Stevie J An Abuser?:
Are those among us who indulge VH1′s melodrama “Love And Hip Hop Atlanta” (L&HHA) doing nothing more than helping to exploit domestic abuse and misogyny in the Black community for personal entertainment thrills and financial corporate gain?

Sil Lai Abrams certainly thinks so and she penned as much in her most recent column for theGrio titled “VH1′s Reality Programming Isn’t Just Harmless Entertainment.”

A domestic abuse survivor and a public advocate against it, Abrams brings both a personal and professional perspective to the discussion of whether the hit show is mere entertainment or something more devastating. For example, she believes that, because of the show’s pervasive popularity in pop culture and, particularly, the Black community, L&HHA “is playing a part in the way our girls and young women are conceptualizing their femininity, sexuality and how they handle relationships.”

Though neither Stevie J nor Lil Scrappy is shown physically abusing the women competing for their love and affection, Abrams also contents that the men exercise other types of abuse on the women that are no less painful.

Domestic violence isn’t just verbal or physical assault. Stevie J is a perfect example of how a man doesn’t have to put a finger on a woman in order to abuse her. Chronic infidelity is a form of abuse, as is bullying, name calling, put downs, intimidation and repeated threats of abandonment. Love & Hip Hop, Basketball Wives and its reality sistren consistently portray female cast members as belligerent, sexually manipulative, emotionally unstable and physically violent.
In such abusive situations, it is common practice to blame the victim, with her “character flaws” used as justification for her dehumanizing treatment. Reality TV viewers play this out, delighting in trashing L&HHA’s Joseline and Mimi for being involved with Stevie, buying into the show’s unspoken message: abuse is the penance that black women must pay for actual or perceived personal inadequacies — or even just to be in a relationship.

But Abrams doesn’t stop there.
She cites a study that reports that young women who watch reality TV shows like L&HHA are prone to take on the stereotypical behavior that depict them as sexual objects. And, while noting that her professional background does not include clinical psychology, Abrams offers the possibility that Mimi and Joseline’s behavior on the show, which many would consider “ratchet,” is symptom of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
