According to Lil Kim, the one-time Queen bee reportedly had a ‘deal’ in place with Cash Money records (yeah that same label Nicki Minaj works for).Alas, we’ve learned YMCB has come forward denying the accusations saying she is a ‘big fat liar’ and the deal ‘does not exist’.
Baby recently talked with MTV’s RapFix’s DJ Envy and, despite Lil Kim’s accusations that her beef with Nicki Minaj stems from her being snubbed by Baby and his brother Slim when she attempted to collaborate on a track with them, denied being a part of any of the static between the two rap divas. “Nah, ain’t no truth to that,” Birdman responded. “We based on creativity. If you know about YMCMB and you ever followed us and been a part of our music, biting and stealing that sh*t just ain’t for us. All [those] rap wars, we just grinding for the money, sun up, sun down. It’s Nicki Minaj all day everyday.” (XXL Mag)
Queen Bee:
According to the Queen Bee, she was on pace to sign with Cash Money, the same label that made Nicki a star. “Me and Slim were friends for four years, and we decided that we were going to go into business together,” Kim said of her plans with CM co-CEO Ronald “Slim” Williams. “I was over there with Cash Money — I was getting ready to be partners with them.” The deal didn’t go through, but Kim did record “Grinding Makin’ Money,” a track that included both Birdman and Minaj. The Notorious K.I.M. claims that the track was slated for Birdman’s 2009 album Priceless but didn’t make the final cut. “They put the record out. I guess they didn’t like the response — they saw the response and they pulled the record off, pulled it back, never put it on his album, nothing,” Kim said. (MTV)
